The story from the maker
Marta
A wide mane gives this lion a wonderfully generous frame for such a small smile. My eye goes first to the dark whiskers, then to the pale face and caramel felt around it. The pink leaves and rosy cheeks make a connection without every detail having to match.

Below the portrait, blush, sage and cream tassels fall in loose strands. I like their fullness beside the neat edges of the felt leaves. The lion does not lose its character among those gentle colours: the little dark whiskers are still quite clear. That small, definite face is what brings me back to the picture.
