The pale leaves are an important part of Rose for me. Their colour stays close to the cream cotton, so the dusty pink flowers catch the eye first. Looking a little longer reveals the foliage between them, with its pointed shapes beside the rounded layers of petals.

I like that the picture has both a clear first impression and something quieter beneath it. The textured centres give each flower a small point of interest, while the leaves carry the eye around the shade. For me, this is the pleasure of a floral piece at home: familiar at a glance, with details still worth noticing.
